With heavy heart, we write this memorial for you, Bouncer. You were special
from the minute you were born. You truly earned your registered name - Remarkable
One. From two, mostly AQHA parents, you came out with a ton of chrome, a
huge hip blanket, and even sported a blue eye. We spent three special years
hauling and showing you. We were able to prove to the skeptical horse world
that it was possible to show and show well an HYPP double positive
horse.
It is with mixed feelings that we report, it was not HYPP that took
your life, but something all horse owners' dread. It was a twist in your
colon that finally ended your days on this earth, not the death sentence
we and others anticipated. Even up until the last moments of your life, we
can honestly say, HYPP was never a factor. We beat that monkey, but we were
no match for what had happened to you internally.
We're so sorry you had to leave us so soon, our friend. You were a
good boy for us. Thank you. May you gallop with angels.
