This is a tribute to my Appaloosa race mare, Million's Lacey J.
Her grandsire was Vaguely Noble. Million's Lacey J died on March 3, 2003,
in foal to my racing stallion, MS Windspirit, & had a filly by him last
year.
Lacey was briefly on the track, local racing in the NW, & was then sent
to the breeding shed, where she produced many fine horses, including some
stakes winners & horses currently on the track.
Fast & beautiful, Lacey died of colic with the complication of a twisted
gut. She will always race on in my heart. Lacey had speed, grace & was
lovely with all foals. She would try to steal a foal if she didn't have one.
She was one of God's great creations.
I hope she will be waiting for me, impatient to run, when I cross over the
Rainbow Bridge. Lacey, gallop on, with your foal at your side.
